Minimal data, clear use

The product is designed to stay fast, calm, and useful during Ramadan, so it keeps data usage as light as possible.

Location

When you tap 'My location', the permission prompt is handled by your browser. Your location is primarily used on-device; only the lookup requests needed for nearby city resolution and prayer times are sent to the relevant geocoding and prayer-time APIs.

Local storage

Your selected city, prayer calculation method, Asr school, theme choice, some cached timetables, and a random anonymous analytics id are stored in browser local storage so the site can reopen faster and estimate aggregate usage without cookies.

Anonymous analytics

The site uses a browser-generated anonymous id to estimate active readers, total pageviews, and rough session length. This is not cookie-based tracking, and it is not designed to collect your name, email, or precise location for analytics.

Optional sign-in sync

If you choose to use optional sign-in, Quran progress, bookmarks, favorite duas, and selected settings may sync to your account through Clerk so they follow you across devices. If you do not sign in, that data stays in your browser.

Third-party services

The product currently relies on the AlAdhan API, OpenStreetMap/Nominatim geocoding, Quran.com, gold-api.com, MP3Quran live streams, and Cloudflare for hosting and bot protection. Each service has its own privacy and availability policies.

Ads and resale

The experience is designed to stay free of intrusive ads, and it is not built to sell prayer or reading behavior to third parties.
